About this book

Compelling account of the authors' two years amongst the elusive and highly endangered tigers of Nepal's Royal Chitwan National Park. The Sunquists tracked the tigers using radio collars, and gathered a wealth of information on the previously little-understood private life of these powerful predators. 2002 reprint has a new afterword describing efforts to reconnect fractured Nepalese habitats.

Media reviews

[F]ull of unusual anecdotes... sloth bears shuffle by, leopards prowl the campsite's perimeter, scores of brilliant birds flit overhead, and camp elephants reveal their personalities.... [T]he tiger and the environment it occupies have become... a symbol of what is at stake. Tiger Moon is a chronicle of this symbolism, told passionately and accurately. - Ronald L. Tilson, Natural History
