About this book

Language: German with 3-page English summary

This study reports the vegetation conditions along the transect aţ-Ţā'if-ar-Riyāḑ (central Saudi-Arabia), which were analysed with the aid of various geobotanic techniques. Vegetation surveys were carried out according to the method of Braun-Blanquet; their evaluation yields a detailed picture of the vegetation units. The vegetation map, scale 1 : 500,000, is based on a classification of the vegetation according to physiognomic and ecological criteria.
