Concentrating on British forestry, this book addresses two main themes. Firstly it argues that the commercial management of forestry and woodland is not inconsistent with, and indeed can encourage, a thriving and varied population of flora and fauna. Secondly it provides detailed guidance, in many cases species by species, on what can be done to encourage and sustain wildlife in particular forest environments.
