About this book

The flora of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa has been generally well-documented, but for some time the need has existed for a study on the Pteridophyta. Adamson and Salter produced the last detailed work dealing with the pteridophytes in 1950 and since then new approaches to classification and nomenclature have ve been adopted. In this book descriptions and drawings of each species are given as well as their distribution and habit. Wherever possible, the descriptions are based on live material collected by the author.
