About this book

This is a re-write of Hancock's earlier book of the same name. It skilfully describes and explains the complicated ecosystems which support the huge breeding populations of herons, storks, ibises, spoonbills, anhingas, cormorants, smaller waders and birds of prey that live within them. It contains some excellent photographs of the birds, which are nicely complemented by the concise descriptions.
