This is the first comprehensive guide to the mammals of Madagascar and describes all 117 known species and subspecies, together with information on a handful of introduced species. The majority, including all the lemurs, are shown in colour photographs. The bulk of the book comprises the species profiles for each of the five mammalian orders that naturally occur on Madagascar, followed by a subsidiary chapter introducing the main mammal watching sites on the island.
