About this book

Combined edition of Keay's notable works first published in the 1970s as When Men and Mountains Meet, and the The Gilgit Game. Both these volumes were pieced together from Keay's own expedition notes and his references on others. Still a standard reference today, it is a marvellous chronicle of the forbidding mountain complex and the travellers who tried to unlock the Himalayas secrets.
