About this book

Information, published between 1978 and 1993, on 925 named species of parasites of fishes of Canada is organized in separate Parasite-Host and Host-Parasite lists. The Parasite-Host list, organized on a taxonomic basis, identifies parasite habitat, site of occurrence in the host(s), species of host(s), known geographic distribution within Canadian waters, and the published source of each host and locality record. The Host-Parasite list, organized according to the taxonomy of the hosts, is accompanied by data on the known Canadian distribution of the parasites. References to other Canadian literature on fish parasites, and an index to the parasites and hosts mentioned is included.
