About this book

Language: German, with English and Spanish summaries

Recent studies show the importance of tropical canopy organisms for global biodiversity. Epiphytes are prominent plants of many tropical forests. Their diversity, however, is still poorly understood. This is the first study of the epiphytes of Bolivia, which has one of the most diverse floras with respect to neotropical vegetation types. A checklist of Bolivian epiphytes is included in this research as well as characterizations of the important eco-regions in which they occur.
