The Derelict Land Grant has been successful in achieving environmental improvements, but how far has it tackled the reclamation of land for housing, industrial and commercial development? This study investigates the scheme's success in reclaiming land for hard end-use development, its cost effectiveness and benefits, and considers any changes desirable for the future. 160 schemes were included in the study and 25 representative case studies were investigated in greater depth to explore engineering, valuation, urban design and aspects of administration.
