This book provides a basic guide to the most frequent ornamental plants to be found in the parks and gardens of the tropical and subtropical regions of the world extending approximately between 35 degrees North and South of the Equator. These regions include large parts of Africa, Southern Asia, Arabia, Australasia, the Caribbean, the Canary Islands and Madeira, and the American continent from Argentina to Florida and California. It even extends to the southern limits of Europe especially southern Spain, the French Riviera and the South of Italy.
