About this book

The Chuquisaca and Tarija regions of Bolivia encompass one the most dynamic shifts in flora and vegetation anywhere along the eastern Andes. But biological information for this areas remained very sketchy. This survey (May 1995) found that the region contains one of the largest remaining uninterrupted tracts of Bosque Tucuman-Boliviano wet forest, as well as a number of endemic species, but also suffers from heavy development pressures.
