In November 1993 and February 1994 respectively, Memoranda of Understanding in the field of nature conservation were signed between the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature Management and Fisheries, the Hungarian Ministry for Environment and Regional Policy and the Polish Ministry of Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry. With regard to Poland, the Memoranda also included the managemnt of forests. The relationship between agriculture and nature conservation is viewed as a priority area for bilateral cooperation.
