About this book

This text is one of two volumes which consider the effects of different environmental factors on crops. It contains data on the physiology and horticulture of crops. All the commercially important crops are covered, and all the regions of the world in which they grow, from temperate (Vol 1) to sub-tropical (Vol 2), are described. The environmental factors studied include irradiation, temperature, water and salinity. Each chapter focuses on a single crop or group of genetically related crops, and subsections discuss individual environmental factors.
