The range, and depth of analysis, of the debates surrounding urban sustainable development in this reader make it an excellent and comprehensive introductory text.' The author has succeeded in providing an affordable, substantive and up-to-date textbook that can be widely used to give a world perspective on sustainable urban development.' Urban Studies 'The Reader is an impresive collection of papers on a potential, sustainable urban future. It attempts to cover all currently relevant issues and does so successfully...
