This is Volume 1 in the long awaited series The Distribution of European Macrolepidoptera - Faunistica Lepidopterum Europaeorum. Volume 1 deals with the Noctuinae, Genus Euxoa-Standfussiana, in the Noctuidae, and is the first of nine volumes in this group. The distribution data have been collected by a team of 64 entomologists, and the distribution maps cover the whole of Europe, from the Ural Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean and from northern Scandinavia to the Mediterranean. The book also contains lists of species, type-localities, surveys of the distribution of the species outside Europe, and extensive bibliographies from all the European countries and areas.
