About this book

This work, limited to 500 copies, contains 28 magnificent colour plates of Amazon parrots painted by the artist Elizabeth Butterworth. The plates have been drawn from living birds wherever possible, with additional information gained from photograhs and skins provided by the British Museum (Natural History), London, and the American Museum of Natural History, New York. The accompanying text by Rosemary Low contains full information about the birds' appearance, distribution and habits. A fine work.
