An understanding of sediment sources and pathways make a contribution to solving environmental problems and maintaining biological diversity. Developments have occurred in the application of both direct monitoring and fingerprinting techniques and the application of new modelling strategies. This book brings together contributions from geomorphologists in monitoring, single or multitracer measurements and the development of modelling strategies to identify the relative significance of a number of potential sources.
