Tropical Deforestation: A Socio-Economic Approach

Interesting approach to the deforestation debate which analyses this process in socio-economic terms. Using an integrated model Jepma analyses the effects of different policy alternatives, and argues that present methods of slowing down deforestation by limiting international trade are not enough and that policy makers need to initiate different measures linked directly to those interests affected by the process.
