The present book is a complete survey and up-to-date check-list of the vascular plants of the arctic and subarctic territories of Russia, with data on the distribution, ecology, life forms and chromosome numbers. This list, which includes 1,478 species, of which only 743 are characteristic of the Arctic proper, is based on the 10-volume series "Arctic flora of the USSR" as well as on numerous floristic papers, both regional and taxonomic. With an exhaustive bibliography, both in Russian and English, pertaining to the study area.
