The definitive story of human evolution revealing the individual experiences of the different creatures from prehistory. The story starts in East Africa where apes first walked on two legs. Four million years later half a dozen different species of human populated Africa but eventually Homo erectus was to dominate this world and be the first ape-man to reach elsewhere. The changing lifes of each species is traced, ending with the Neanderthals and their rivalry with Homo sapiens.
The DVD contains an extra 30 minute interview with the producer, director, actors and make-up artists, as well as fact files and the making of the television series.
