Twenty four species of North Atlantic species are illustrated in this video aimed to help people recognise species by various identification features. For each species, above water and underwater sequences depict the key features - head shape, blow, dorsal fin position, size and shape, body markings, tail fluke profile, and any chararcteristic behaviour patterns. The narration provides information on status and distribution in the North Atlantic, North Sea and Meditterranean, body size and identification features, with notes on how to distinguish similar species. The film sequences are of high quality and have rarely been obtained before.
