The plant communities of this area at Australia's westernmost point are as varied as its landscapes. They include the world's largest undersea meadows of seagrasses, mangrove woodlands, succulent shrublands, the herbfields of gypsum-filled hollows known as birridas, and the low, wind-pruned heath of the Zuytdorp Cliffs. More than 850 species have been recorded, including more than 50 endemics. The plants are arranged alphabetically by family.
