About this book

This book presents a synthesis of animal health information from OIE Members as well as from non OIE Member countries. It provides a unique tool for all those involved in animal production, wildlife disease surveillance, international trade in animals and animal products and the epidemiology and control of animal diseases, including zoonoses. It is composed of tables of data on OIE-listed diseases and their impact in each country. For disease/infections present, the tables include the number of outbreaks reported for each disease, with the number of susceptible animals, cases, or dead animals.

The 2010 edition takes advantage of the improvements made to the World Animal Health Information System (WAHIS) and gives a better overview of the animal health situation in domestic and in wild species than in the previous editions.
