The Kawamura Collection, now held at the National Science Museum in Tokyo, is the largest shell collection in Japan, and includes some of the rarest and most beautiful shells in the world. This extensively illustrated book presents a selection of the best exhibits from the Collection, plus some from the Museum's other collections. All the specimens are annotated with scientific and Japanese name, and where they were collected. A beautiful book.
