ORGANISATION FOR THE PHYTO-TAXONOMIC INVESTIGATION OF THE MEDITERRANEAN AREA

 

An international association of botanists interested in the Mediterranean area. OPTIMA encompasses botany in its widest sense and deals with all groups of plants and all disciplines which have an impact on systematic studies. All persons and institutions actively engaged or interested in Mediterranean plant taxonomy are eligible to become OPTIMA Members.				OPTMA AIMS To stimulate and coordinate research activities, exploration, conservation and resource studies within the Mediterranean area To promote the collation and exchange of information regarding the plant life of the region
