CORAL CAY CONSERVATION

 
Coral Cay Conservation was created in 1986 when a team of university students visited the Belize Barrier Reef to examine the affects of fishing and tourism on the world's second largest barrier reef. It is a not-for-profit organisation at the cutting edge of ecotourism. Sending teams of volunteers to survey some of the world's most endangered coral reefs and tropical forests.  
AIMS
  • To provide resources to help sustain livelihoods
  • To alleviate poverty through the protection, restoration and management of coral reefs and tropical forests
  • To provide the technical and financial support that developing countries need in order to produce conservation management plans
