Founded in 1990 to foster a true sense of synergy between outdoor
travel entreprneurs, researchers and conservationists, working to
assist those working to make ecotourism a genuine tool for
conservation and sustainable development. TIES defines ecotourism
as "responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the
environment and sustains the well-being of local people."
Membership in TIES gives you exclusive access to a global network
of 1600 members in 110 countries, as well as valuable information
resources. The organization is a vibrant forum and a genuine
international network for those involved in responsible business,
conservation, research and sustainable development worldwide.
