The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has worked since 1946 to protect and promote the interests of this county's very special but vulnerable living environment. The scope and importance of their work has continued to increase as the threats to those habitats, their plants and animals, are undiminished. Their work has broadened from a single focus - protecting valuable sites as nature reserves - to promote wider recognition of wildlife issues and their importance to our life in Yorkshire.
