Presents a glimpse of the biodiversity treasure trove which are the cerrados of Paraguay, areas populated with dozens of small herbs and ephemerals, shrubs, grasses, and trees throughout forest and savanna biomes. Presented here are 100 species considered to be a representative sampling of the diverse and multitudinous species found there. Each species treatment includes synonymy relevant to Paraguay, local blooming period, botanical description, distribution, and conservation status.
