About this book

This publication presents the results of a 2005 biological expedition led by the Center for Applied Biodiversity Science to the Boke Prefecture of Guinea, located along the northwest coast of the country and known to harbour up to 500,000 bird species. The survey found two animal species new to science and records the presence of sixteen species with special conservation needs.

Heather E. Wright is manager of the Rapid Assessment Program at Conservation International's Center for Applied Biodiversity Science, and Jennifer McCullough was manager of the program from 2002 to 2005. Mamadou Saliou Diallo is program coordinator for Guinee Ecologie.
