Birds of Central Asia

Planned in five volumes. The series was abandoned after two volumes. The authors are ornithologists from five former Soviet Republics located in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan). The various articles and material are compiled and edited by A.K. Rustamov (Scholar, Turkmenistan) and A.F. Kovshar (Professor, Kazakhstan).

This monograph continues the traditions of the Soviet ornithology school and is written in style reminiscent of Birds of the USSR and Birds of Kazakhstan. The book contains the most up-to-date materials of all species of birds that inhabit the territory of Central Asia.
