Native Colombian Orchids

205 orchid genera have been reported for Colombia. This important work was originally published in 4 volumes between 1990 and 1991, and presented individual descriptions of the genera that could be photographed at that time: in all, 147 genera, illustrated with 707 colour photographs. Because of the keen interest aroused by the publication of the four volumes, the publishers decided to publish two more volumes, as supplements to the series. The supplements contain descriptions of all the genera not included in the earlier books, as well as further illustrations of some of the genera already described there. In a few cases no photographs were available, and ink drawings have been provided.
