This contribution is the second supplement to the Catalogue of Vascular Plants of Ecuador, published in 1999. The first supplement (2005) included 1246 additions and taxonomic changes to the flora of Ecuador. The present checklist documents 1547 new additions to the Ecuadorian flora, including 719 new species described from Ecuadorian material, 421 new country records for Ecuador, and 407 taxonomic changes. The new total for the flora of Ecuador is 18,198 species of vascular plants (17,683 native species), of which approximately 5400 species are considered endemic to Ecuador. Some 224 new bibliographic references are listed.
