About this product

Natural nesting sites are becoming scarce and birds are relying more and more on comfortable and warm nest boxes provided by people like yourselves. The Apex bird nesting box has a fixed roof and sides and incorporates a slide-out floor, ventilation and drainage and comes in three different hole sizes depending on the species you would like to attract.

The 25mm hole is primarily suitable for the smallest tit species such as blue tits, coal tits and marsh tits. The 28mm will attract all of these species but the hole is also large enough for great tits, crested tits and tree sparrows. The larger 32mm will attract a large range of species including blue tit, coal tit, marsh tit, house sparrow, great tit, nuthatch and pied flycatcher.

The nest box is easily fitted to a wall or tree with a concealed mounting hole in the back of the box (located opposite the entrance hole for easy access). Usually this is the only fixing needed, but two further holes are provided at the base for use when necessary.

These bird nest boxes are constructed from precision cut European softwood and have been treated with an environmentally friendly preservative which is kind to the birds but helps ensure a long lasting dry and comfortable nest box.
