Biography

Rod Morris worked for both DoC and Natural History NZ for years and has has been involved with more than 30 books as a photographer - eg FIELD GUIDE TO NZ WILDLIFE, ISLAND MAGIC, THE LOST WORLD OF THE MOA, SAVING NZ'S ENDANGERED BIRDS as well as several children's books.

Alison Ballance is a wildlife film-maker and writer. She has produced 13 television documentaries, and written 23 books. She has a Masters degree in zoology, worked as information officer for DSIR Ecology Division after graduating, and has worked for television production company NHNZ (Natural History New Zealand) since 1990.
