About this book

The Kizilirmak Delta near Bafra is the largest remaining wetlands ecosystem along the Turkish Black Sea coast. The area is seriously threatened by drainage and other adverse developments, therefore urgent information was required about the bird population. The aims of the project were to identify the species composition and abundance of breeding birds, the areas of greatest importance for breeding, and the distribution of non-breeding bird species.
