About this product

This mesh insect cage from BugDorm consists of a lightweight fibreglass frame that is completely collapsible. A mesh tent threads onto this frame to create an enclosure suitable for maintaining and breeding insects. The framework is constructed outside the enclosure, leaving no places for insects to hide inside the cage. It is 93cm in height, making it suitable for large potted plants. All panels of the cage, except the floor, are made from 160μm fine nylon mesh. This nylon version is ideal for tiny invertebrates such as aphids, thrips and parasitic wasps.

The front panel of the cage has a large zippered door that allows you to add and remove plants. It also has two smaller sleeve openings (18cm diameter), which provide access to different parts of the cage with minimal risk of insects escaping. A strip of fabric suspended across the ceiling of the cage is ideal for hanging feeders.
