About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and Chinese

This year's report lists a total of 987 species from 69 families and 17 orders, which is an increase of 130 species compared to those submitted in 2003. There are a couple of exciting sightings received this year, including the discovery of new breeding colony of critically endangered Chinese Crested Tern (Sterna bernsteini) in Mainland China and four new records to China. Great participation on records submission from domestic and abroad makes Report 2004 to cover a wider geographical range. It gradually becomes a valuable and up-to-date literature for recording Chinese avifauna nowadays.
