About this product

This Choice Chamber is made from injection moulded Acrylic. It has four compartments to hold organisms and the lid of the chamber has slightly raised ridges so that it can be divided into quarters allowing you to create a range of different light conditions using paper or card within the chamber. You can then introduce the organisms you are observing (e.g. woodlice or maggots) through the single 18 mm diameter hole in the centre of the lid. The lid matches up with the segments of the base so that the light level sections of the lid fit the compartments separated out in the base.

If you wish to use desiccating or humidifying components (e.g. silica gel or anhydrous calcium chloride and water or cotton wool soaked in water) a piece of fine mesh should be placed over the compartments to prevent the organisms from coming into contact with the liquid. This mesh can be purchased separately.

Available singly or as a pack of five.
