Bruce W. Jentleson is director of the Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy as well as aprofessor of public policy and political science at Duke University. He was a specialassistant to the director of the State Department's Policy Planning Staff and a seniorforeign policy adviser to presidential candidate Al Gore.
