Dr Mark Goodwin is a research scientist with The Horticulture and Food Research Institute (HortResearch) of New Zealand Ltd. Mark leads a research team that conducts extensive research on varroa, honey bee diseases, and crop pollination.

Michelle Taylor is a research scientist at HortResearch. She is currently running a breeding programme to select honey bees that are varroa tolerant.
