This field guide provides a brief introduction to Chinese zoogeographical divisions, ecological bird groups, endemic species composition, and the natural geography and biodiversity characteristics of the Qinling Mountains, a major east-west mountain range in southern Shaanxi Province in China. The research history of birds in the Qinling area is also briefly introduced. On this basis, 494 bird species (belonging to 218 genera, 69 families, 18 orders) occurring in the Qinling Mountains are describes, accounting for 36.03% of the total number of bird species in China. Among them, there are 9 key protected species in China, accounting for 1.82% of the total. There were 52 species of national class II protected birds, accounting for 10.53% of the total. The Qinling region has 32 species of endemic bird, accounting for 30.5% of the total number of endemic bird species in China. The morphological characteristics, ecological habits and distribution of national key protected species and Chinese endemic species (86 species) and common species (220 species) are briefly introduced, and more than 300 exquisite photos are provided.

A Field Guide to the Birds of Qinling Mountains (2nd Edition),本手册在简述中国动物地理区划、鸟类生态地理类群和特有种组成的基础上，概述了秦岭地区的自然地理、生物多样性特征，简要介绍了秦岭地区鸟类的研究历史。在此基础上记录了秦岭地区鸟类18目69科218属494种，占中国鸟类总数的36.03%(1,371郑光美，2011)。其中国家I级重点保护种类9种，占总数的1.82%。国家Ⅱ级重点保护鸟类52种，占总数的10.53%。秦岭地区拥有中国特有鸟种32种，占中国特有鸟种总数的30.5%。并对国家重点保护种类及中国特有种（86种）和常见物种（220种）的形态特征、生态习性和分布状况进行了简要介绍，并配有精美照片300余幅。
