About this product

An all-night, mid-August visit to the Ythan estuary, in Aberdeenshire with Angus Hogg and Ken Jackson. During the night and very early morning they find 29 species of wader and other shore birds mostly going about their feeding activities, which are regulated by the state of the tide, not the hours of daylight. Vocal wader are Redshank, Greenshank, Turnstone, Ringed Plover, Curlew, Whimbrel, Dunlin, Knot, Golden Plover, Lapwing, Oystercatcher, Green Sandpiper and Snipe – joined by three Tern species, five types of gulls and Herons.
