Les Oiseaux du Maroc is illustrated with over 400 photographs, and it covers all 465 wild bird species recorded to date. For each species, it presents the latest details on taxonomy, status, habitat, a detailed description of the plumage, behavior and voice.

A preface of four short chapters precede the description of the species:
- In the first chapter, the authors present to the reader the most important regions and sites in the country for ornithology, providing information on the many different species of birds that can be seen there at different periods of year.
- The second chapter, devoted to the protection of wild birds of Morocco, first reviews the various causes of the decline of birdlife. Then it discusses the various protective measures taken by Morocco to try to stop this regression.
- The third chapter introduces the zoological principles of classification of bird species, and explains the evolution of species through time and space.
- The fourth chapter explains how to use this work, which is the first book in Morocco to function as an ID book of different species of wild birds that both laypeople and experts can use on their walks.
- An appendix of the book contains a glossary of Arabic and Berber names of birds known to date in Morocco.

Cet ouvrage est illustré de plus de 400 photos, et il couvre l'ensemble des especes d'oiseaux sauvages constituant l'avifaune marocaine soit 465 especes repertoriees a ce jour. Pour chaque espece, il presente les derniers elements de taxonomie, le statut, l'habitat, une description detaillee du plumage, du comportement et de la voix.

Une preface de quatre courts chapitres precede la description des especes:
- Dans un premier chapitre, on presente au lecteur les regions et les sites les plus importants du pays pour l'ornithologie, lui fournissant de nombreuses informations sur les differentes especes d'oiseaux que l'on peut y voir aux differentes epoques de l'annee.
- Le second chapitre, consacre a la protection des oiseaux sauvages du Maroc, passe d'abord en revue les differentes causes de la regression de l'avifaune. Ensuite, il aborde les diverses mesures de protection prises par le Maroc pour tenter d'enrayer cette regression.
- Le troisieme chapitre explique au lecteur les principes zoologiques de la classification des especes d'oiseaux, en evoquant l'evolution des especes dans le temps et dans l'espace.
- Le quatrieme chapitre traite de la methode d'utilisation de l'ouvrage, correspondant avant tout a un ouvrage d'identification des differentes especes d'oiseaux sauvages que le profane ou le scientifique peuvent rencontrer au gre de leurs deplacements ou de leurs promenades au Maroc.
- Une annexe de l'ouvrage des Oiseaux du Maroc est consacree a un lexique des noms arabes et berberes d'oiseaux connus a ce jour au Maroc.

Le haut niveau de ces textes scientifiques, tres clairement rediges, couple a l'abondante illustration photographique fait de l'ouvrage Les Oiseaux du Maroc un document de reference, pouvant être mis a la portee de tous, simples amoureux de la nature ou ornithologues confirmes.
