About this book

Language: German

Cichlids have long been among the most popular aquarium fishes because of their interesting behaviour and colourfulness. Even well-known species allow the aquarist time and again new observations.

In recent years, many new forms and species have become known, which have given rise to new descriptions and changes in systematics. For the first time, this series provides a complete overview of the well-known American cichlids and the current status of their classification.

Volume 3 covers the genus Retroculus, the pike cichlids, the checkerboard cichlids and all forms the eartheater group (the geophagine cichlids).
