About this book

Language: German

With this book, which has been thoroughly updated for the second edition, all grasshoppers in Germany and North Tyrol can be identified using excellent image comparisons. It highlights important features using enlarged close-ups, instructional texts and arrows, making it excellent for use in the field. Thanks to the high quality photos even the smallest details are clearly visible and allow direct comparison between similar species. Finally, each species is portrayed with information on habitat, characteristics and songs. Specially created distribution maps provide an overview in which regions which species is to be found. The book thus allows a simple but profound introduction to the unexpectedly diverse world of locusts.
