E.A. Séguy (1877-1951) was a leading French pattern designer of textiles and wallpaper who combined the art deco and art nouveau styles. His striking use of colour combinations and bold geometric decoration is emphasised in these 12 wonderful butterfly designs which were taken from his Papillons portfolio published in Paris (1924). They were originally created using the pochoir technique, an expensive and labour-intensive printing process that utilises stencils to create clean lines and a wet appearance.
The calendar is printed with soy-based inks on FSC certified paper. FSC certification promotes responsible forest management by ensuring that forestry practices are both environmentally and socially responsible.
