About this product

The Eco Bat Shelter is an innovative bat shelter designed for installation in humid and frost-free environments such as within buildings or other enclosed structures. The wedge-shaped crevice provides an excellent winter hibernation roost for many crevice dwelling bats. It features a plastic outer shell for thermal insulation and a ceramic insert that stabilises the internal temperature of the shelter as well as providing a good foothold for bats. It requires no maintenance as droppings fall directly out of the box and is constructed using stainless steel staples, which ensure the longevity of the shelter in the humid environments often favoured by hibernating bats.

The bat shelter has four screw holes to allow it to be fixed to a concrete, brick, stone or wooden wall. When fixing to uneven surfaces silicone or foam strips can be used to seal the edges to reduce draughts.
