Explorer Premium Digital Endoscope Camera with Hard Case

About this product

The Explorer Digital Endoscope provides a large screen size and the capacity to record still images or video on to a microSD / microSDHC card (not included) whilst maintaining all of the fantastic functionality of the previous model. It is ideal for gaining still or video images from inside burrows, inaccessible nest sites, bat roosts or a wide variety of other uses. The screen can be detached from the endoscope whilst in operation and footage can still be viewed on the screen. So, one person can be balancing precariously up a ladder checking roosts whilst the rest of the group views the footage from the safety of the ground! With an effective wireless range of over 10 metres, the screen and endoscope do not even have to be near each other.

The Explorer is economical, making it highly cost effective for group and educational use and it is lightweight and easily operated by one hand. There is an AV port for video output to any TV or computer which also has an AV port and an additional USB port for output to a computer. The camera has an effective unobstructed visibility range of 10 metres and the 1m length cable means the endoscope can be used to look inside a variety of boxes, burrows, nests and other crevices. The adjustable lighting level can help to minimise disturbance to animals. The camera has an IP67 waterproof rating allowing you to investigate underwater. The tip of the endoscope is just 9mm in diameter with four LEDs providing adjustable lighting for the camera.

The 3.5" TFT-LCD colour screen has an effective pixel size of 960 x 240, with a picture / video resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a frame rate of 30 frames/second. The screen has a rechargeable Li-ion battery and a mains charger is included. The endoscope takes 4 x AA batteries which gives over 2 hours of continuous use.

The Explorer comes with three camera attachments (mirror, hook and magnet), mains charger for screen, an AV video cable, a USB cable and a heavy duty carry case.  There is also a 1 metre extension cable and replacement camera and cable available and the Explorer Premium Endoscope can be bought as a complete bundle, including batteries and microSDHC card.

This endoscope is also available as a complete bundle which includes x4 AA batteries and a 16GB microSD card.

  • Three camera attachments (mirror, hook and magnet)
